Fillers

Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Revanesse lips & Versa, RHA & Sculptra

Dermal fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm, Revanesse Lips & Versa, Sculptra, and the RHA collection of fillers from Revance are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lines, and folds in the skin by adding volume and stimulating collagen production. These fillers consist of various substances, including naturally occuring hyaluronic acid, resistant hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid, that are injected directly into the skin to help restore lost volume and improve the overall appearance of the face.  Each of these fillers has been custom formulated for use in different areas of the face.

Injectable dermal fillers are typically administered in a medical spa or cosmetic dermatology office and typically involve minimal downtime. Most patients return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. Common side effects include swelling, redness, and some occasional bruising at the injection site that usually subsides within a few days.

Some filleres are known for less side effects so you may want to consult with our Aestatician about which product will be best for your skin. While dermal fillers are generally safe, you should only receive them from a trained medical professional like the ones at Pink Opal Aesthetics. We can help determine which type of filler is best suited for your individual needs and goals and provide guidance on aftercare and follow-up treatments.

The RHA Collection of Fillers

The RHA Collection of Fillers from Revance is a specialized range of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers developed by Teoxane Laboratories. These fillers are specifically designed to improve the appearance and health of delicate skin in specific areas.

Here are some key features and benefits of the the RHA Collection of Fillers:

Tailored Formulations:

Within The RHA Collection of Fillers, there are different formulations available to address specific concerns in different areas. For example, RHA Redensity is designed for the under-eye area, and to treat dark circles and other concerns around the eyes. RHA II & III focus on the neck and neckline and were developed to address nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the sides of the notes to the corners of the mouth), marionette lines (the lines that extend from the corners of the mouth towards the jawline), for lip enhancement, or anywhere extra volume is needed including for moderate (II) to severe (III) wrinkles and fine lines (such as those on the forehead or around the mouth).

RHA IV is used for adding volume and contouring specific areas of the face including the cheeks/cheekbones, the temples or temple region, the chin (helping to improve the definition and projection of the chin), the jawline, and any area of the face that requires additional volume or areas with facial depressions or contour irregularities.

Hydration and Rejuvenation:

The fillers in the RHA Collection contain hyaluronic acid, a substance known for its ability to attract and retain moisture. By injecting hyaluronic acid into the skin, the fillers provide deep hydration, improving the overall quality and texture of the treated area.

Carefully Selected Ingredients:

The RHA Collection of Fillers incorporates a blend of carefully selected ingredients, such as amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. These ingredients are chosen for their beneficial properties and their ability to nourish and rejuvenate the skin.

Amino acids play a crucial role in maintaining the health and structure of the skin. They assist in collagen production, which helps to improve skin elasticity and firmness.

Antioxidants are included in the RHA Collection of Fillers to protect the skin from oxidative stress and free radicals. They help to reduce inflammation and minimize the damage caused by environmental factors such as UV radiation and pollution.

Radiesse

Radiesse is an injectable dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. It is designed to add volume and contour to the face, as well as to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a biocompatible material that occurs naturally in the body and provides a scaffolding for new tissue growth.

Radiesse is typically used to address moderate to severe wrinkles and lines, including the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. It can also be used to add volume to the cheeks and hands for a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

The effects of Radiesse can last up to 12-18 months, depending on the individual, the area treated, and the amount of filler used. Follow-up treatments may be necessary to maintain optimal results. However while Radiesse doesn’t provide permanent results, it does have unique properties that allow it to stimulate natural collagen production in the treated areas, which can provide longer-lasting, more natural-looking results compared to other types of dermal fillers. This collagen production can help to build upon and prolong the effects of the filler.

Restylane & Juvederm

Restylane and Juvederm: These hyaluronic acid fillers are used to fill in wrinkles and lines, as well as add volume to areas like the cheeks and lips. They have a natural-looking outcome that is reversible by adding an enzyme to dissolve the product.

Restylane and Juvederm are both popular brands of injectable dermal fillers that are designed to restore lost volume and reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines and they are typically used to address wrinkles and fine lines in the face, particularly in the nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the jawline). They can also be used to add volume to the lips and cheeks. There are different formulations of Juvederm and Restylane that are available to target specific areas of the face and provide the desired aesthetic outcome.

The effects of these fillers typically last between 6-12 months but can vary depending on the individual, the area treated, and the amount of filler used. Follow-up treatments may be necessary to maintain optimal results.

Sculptra

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable dermal filler that is primarily used to address volume loss in the face and to stimulate natural collagen production. It consists of a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid that is designed to plump up and contour areas of the face that have lost volume due to aging or other factors.

Sculptra is typically used to address sunken cheeks, hollow temples, and other areas of the face that have lost volume over time. It can also be used to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. Unlike other dermal fillers, the results of Sculptra are gradual and can take several weeks to be fully realized. This is because Sculptra works by gradually stimulating collagen production in the treated areas, rather than simply filling in wrinkles and lines.

Sculptra treatments typically involve a series of injections administered over several sessions for the most effective results. The number of treatments recommended will depend on the extent of the volume loss and the desired outcome. The results of Sculptra can last up to 2 years or more, but follow-up treatments may be necessary to maintain optimal results.  And just as with Radiesse, Sculptra is not permanent, however it’s much longer lasting than any of the other fillers and its use helps to stimulate the production of your own natural collagen in your skin.

Revanesse Versa

Revanesse Versa is a dermal filler used for cosmetic purposes, specifically for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds. It is a hyaluronic acid-based filler, a substance naturally found in the skin. The purpose of dermal fillers like Revanesse Versa is to add volume to areas of the face that may have lost collagen and elasticity over time, resulting in lines and wrinkles. It is commonly used to address facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines (lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin). The great news is that the results of Revanesse Versa are often immediate, providing a more youthful and smoother appearance to the treated areas.  The injections are usually relatively quick, and patients can often resume their normal activities shortly after. Prior to getting any dermal filler treatment, you’ll have a complimentary consultation with our qualified provider. During this consultation, she will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your goals, and provide information about the procedure.

As with any cosmetic procedure, it’s really important to choose a qualified and experienced healthcare professional for the administration of dermal fillers like the pros at Pink Opal Aesthetics, to ensure a safe and effective outcome.
