Fillers, Botox, Kybella, MicroNeedling, Chemical Peels & PRP/PRF

A MedSpa is a combination of a traditional spa and a medical clinic. But most MedSpas have lost sight of the “Spa” portion of the business.  Pink Opal Med Spa has the relaxing atmosphere of a spa plus the high-end medical spa services provided by a highly experienced Medical doctor and a Registered Nurse. Don’t trust your face or your health to anyone with less experience.  Pink Opal’s services include traditional spa treatments with an integrative approach to health and wellness.

Pink Opal’s services include:

Neuromodulators:

Neuromodulators are some of the most popular and effective MedSpa treatments that are used to temporarily relax muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They work by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles, preventing the muscles from contracting and causing wrinkles to appear; our neuromodulators include BOTOX & Dysport. Selecting BOTOX over Dysport us usually a matter of preference & taste.

Fillers:

Fillers and Sculptra are popular MedSpa treatments used to add volume to the face and fill in wrinkles and fine lines. They are often used to restore a more youthful appearance to the face. Fillers typically use hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. Some common types of fillers include Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse.

Revanesse Lips and Revanesse Versa are both FDA-approved treatments which are also hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers that can be used to restore lost volume and create a fuller-looking lip in patients 22 years of age and older.

Sculptra, on the other hand, uses a synthetic biodegradable material called Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) to stimulate collagen production in the body. Sculptra is often used for deeper wrinkles and folds and may require a series of treatments to achieve desired results.

Kybella:

Kybella is a cutting-edge service (without the cutting!) designed to reshape and sculpt the body by targeting areas of supplemental fat under the chin. Kybella was specially developed for use to reduce the appearance of a “Double-chin” – it’s an FDA-approved injectable treatment for reducing submental (under the chin) fat that improves the appearance of a “double chin”. The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat.

Chemical Peels:

Chemical Peels improve the overall appearance of the skin by improving texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and enhancing skin luminosity. There are several different options when it comes to getting a chemical peel such as VI Peels, which are a type of chemical peel designed to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin. VI Peels are part of a medical-grade peel system developed by VI Aesthetics, a skincare company.

VI Peels utilize a blend of ingredients, including various acids (such as trichloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, and lactic acid), vitamin C, and other beneficial substances to address a variety of skin concerns. Chemical peels are formulated to provide controlled exfoliation of the outer layers of the skin, promoting cellular turnover and revealing a more radiant complexion.

Chemical peels of all types involve applying a chemical solution to the skin to remove its outermost layers. The goal of a chemical peel is to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots, as well as improving skin texture and overall tone.

Platelet Rich Plasma & Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRP & PRF):

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (aka PRP Therapy) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (aka PRF) have gained popularity in aesthetic medicine as a non-invasive treatment options to improve the appearance of the skin, hair, neck, and other tissues.

PRP & PRF injections are a natural therapies that stimulate tissue regeneration and healing by utilizing the growth factors and healing proteins found in a patient’s own blood. PRF therapy shares some similarities with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, but differs in its method of preparation and application.

Both PRP & PRF for hair restoration involves injecting concentrated platelets into the scalp to promote hair growth and thickness. This treatment is often used for individuals with thinning hair or hair loss due to aging, hormonal imbalances, or other factors.

Facial rejuvenation with PRP or PFF involves injecting concentrated platelets into targeted areas of the face to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture and tone. Both of these treatments can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve overall skin quality, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed look and selecting one treatment over the other is usually a matter of taste and preference.

PRP/PRF therapies for acne scars involves injecting concentrated platelets into the skin to promote collagen production and reduce the appearance of scars. This treatment can improve the texture and tone of the skin, resulting in a smoother and more even complexion.

MicroNeedling

MicroNeedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with tiny needles to create small punctures in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, which can lead to the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that help keep the skin looking youthful and firm.

One of the popular MicroNeedling systems that we use is the Hydrapen. The Hydropen, also known as the AquaGold system, is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a special MicroNeedling device to deliver a customized cocktail of skin care products to the skin. The Hydropen device is a handheld device that features a series of microscopic gold-plated needles that are thinner than a human hair.

MicroNeedling can be used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture. The procedure is generally safe for all skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands.
